Analysis of motor activity of students aged 17-18
The aim of our study is to analyze the level of physical activity among students aged 17-18, identify key factors influencing it, and develop recommendations for improving physical activity within this age group. The research highlights the importance of physical activity for the harmonious development of young people, as well as for maintaining their physical and mental health. A comprehensive approach was used to achieve this goal, incorporating the following methods: surveys (International Physical Activity Questionnaire – IPAQ), observation, theoretical literature analysis, and statistical data analysis. Information was collected on the duration and frequency of physical activity, as well as the barriers preventing students from maintaining an adequate level of activity. The study results showed that only 20% of students meet the WHO-recommended level of physical activity (150 minutes per week), while 65% have an insufficient level of activity. The main barriers include a lack of time, low motivation, and limited access to sports infrastructure. Gender differences were also significant: women more often face social restrictions, whereas men demonstrate higher activity levels due to participation in sports clubs. These findings highlight the need to consider gender-specific factors when designing programs to promote physical activity. The conclusions emphasize the urgent need to implement integrated programs to increase young people's level of physical activity. In particular, it is recommended to develop sports infrastructure, utilize digital technologies (fitness apps), and conduct educational activities to enhance students’ motivation. This approach will contribute to the formation of healthy habits and the long- term improvement of young people's overall health.
