Design and Construction of A Recruitment Management Information System for Prospective Employees Using The Waterfall Method

Abstract - This study aims to develop a web-based recruitment management information system for PT Berdikari Jaya Bersama. In the development of this system, the Waterfall methodology is used, which provides a structured approach through clear stages from analysis to implementation. In addition, black box testing is applied to evaluate the performance of the application based on the expected input and output results, without considering the internal structure of the system. The results of this study show that the developed information system successfully manages the entire recruitment process effectively, from managing applicant data, scheduling interviews, to evaluating interview results. With the implementation of this application, it is expected to achieve a significant improvement in the efficiency and effectiveness of the recruitment process. A more structured data management approach not only reduces the potential for errors in the recruitment process but also supports a more transparent and professional recruitment process. Therefore, this application is expected to play a key role in improving the quality of recruitment management within the company.Keywords: Management Information System, Recruitment, Employee, Waterfall Abstract - Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan sebuah sistem informasi manajemen rekrutmen calon karyawan berbasis website untuk PT Berdikari Jaya Bersama. Dalam pengembangan sistem ini, digunakan metodologi Waterfall, yang memberikan pendekatan terstruktur melalui tahapan-tahapan yang jelas dari analisis hingga implementasi. Selain itu, pengujian black box diterapkan untuk menilai kinerja aplikasi berdasarkan hasil input dan output yang diharapkan, tanpa memperhatikan struktur internal sistem. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa sistem informasi yang dikembangkan berhasil mengelola seluruh proses rekrutmen dengan efektif, mulai dari pengelolaan data pelamar, pengaturan jadwal wawancara, hingga penilaian hasil wawancara. Dengan penerapan aplikasi ini, diharapkan dapat tercapai peningkatan signifikan dalam efisiensi dan efektivitas proses rekrutmen. Pengelolaan data yang lebih terstruktur tidak hanya mengurangi potensi kesalahan dalam proses rekrutmen, tetapi juga mendukung pelaksanaan rekrutmen yang lebih transparan dan profesional. Dengan demikian, aplikasi ini diharapkan dapat berperan penting dalam meningkatkan kualitas manajemen rekrutmen di perusahaan.Kata kunci: Sistem Informasi Manajemen, Rekruitmen, Karyawan, Waterfall
