Thermochromic Composite as a Dual‐Functional Enhancer in Conductive Hydrogels
Abstract Conductive hydrogels are limited in their ability to transmit diverse information due to their single‐response nature. To address this limitation, this study develops a flexible material (TCH) that integrates both conductivity and thermochromic properties. The material is synthesized using polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) and polyethyleneimine (PEI) as the gel framework (PPL), lithium chloride (LiCl) as the conductive medium, and crystal violet lactone thermochromic composite (CVL‐T) as the thermochromic component. The incorporation of CVL‐T and LiCl endows the material with conductivity and reversible color‐changing properties, enabling it to transition from blue to white within a temperature range from room temperature to 60 °C. Additionally, the TCH material demonstrates excellent fatigue resistance after multiple cycles. This work provides a novel approach for conductive flexible sensors to achieve diversified information transmission, offering new possibilities for applications in smart materials, wearable devices, and environmental monitoring systems.
