IMPACTO DA ATIVIDADE FÍSICA COMO FERRAMENTA TERAPÊUTICA NO TRATAMENTO DE DOENÇAS CRÔNICAS, COM ÊNFASE EM DIABETES MELLITUS TIPO 2, HIPERTENSÃO ARTERIAL E DOENÇAS CARDIOVASCULARES

Physical activity is recognized as an effective therapeutic tool in the treatment of chronic diseases, such as type 2 diabetes mellitus, arterial hypertension, and cardiovascular diseases. This study analyzed the relationship between regular physical exercise and the improvement of metabolic and cardiovascular indicators through a bibliographic review based on scientific articles, institutional reports, and updated medical guidelines. The results indicate that aerobic and resistance exercises significantly contribute to glycemic control, blood pressure regulation, and the reduction of risk factors. Additionally, physically active patients showed a better response to clinical treatments and improved quality of life. The study highlights the importance of integrating physical activity into conventional medical care, emphasizing the need for strategies to expand access to this practice.
