TRINCAS RADICULARES APÓS A OBTURAÇÃO DOS CANAIS: UMA REVISÃO DE LITERATURA
The aim of the present study was to evaluate, through a literature review, the formation of dentinal cracks after the filling of the root canal system (SCR) using different methodologies available for analysis. For this, a search was performed in the PubMed database using the following terms: micro-cracks and dentinal defects; root canal filling and cold lateral compaction. The search was carried out from January to July 2021. After the initial reading of the abstracts, elimination of duplicate studies according to the inclusion and exclusion criteria, and after the complete reading of the papers, a total of 8 articles were included in this review. Of the 8 articles included, only 3 used the computed microtomography (Micro-CT) methodology as an analysis tool, and of these only 1 demonstrated the formation of dentinal cracks after the SCR filling procedures. Thus, after the present literature review, it can be concluded that the SCR filling procedures performed with different gutta-percha filling techniques did not induce the formation of dentinal cracks.
