Importance of e-learning in education

Abstract: This study proposes the importance of using e-learning in teaching in education. In the educational institutions, the issue of utilizing modern information and communication technologies ICT for teaching and learning is very important. This study gives a scholarly background to the study by reviewing some contributions made by various researchers and the institutions on the concept of e-learning, particularly its usage in teaching and learning in educational institutions. It look at the, importance, the role e-learning plays in educational institutions and the benefits of its adoption and implementation in education.
