Comparative Analysis of Methods for Studying the Personality Sphere in Psychology

The problem of personality has been analyzed and studied in psychology, sociology, philosophy and other scientific fields for many years. Approaches to the study of personality, which had a unique place in ancient philosophy, are still being studied today and reflected in new studies. The personality factor covers a wide section in both local and foreign literature and is relevant in every practical field of psychology. The main purpose of this article is to comparatively analyze the practical methods of studying the personality factor in psychology and to present a useful example for researchers conducting research in this field. Positivism was chosen as the methodological approach of the study, and the method of analyzing literature samples was chosen as the method. For the study, Internet databases where local and foreign literature is collected were consulted, and information was presented by referring only to valid and reliable sources. In Azerbaijani psychology, Akbar Bayramov, Abdul Alizadeh, Ismayil Seyidov, Mukhtar Hamzayev, Aladdin Gadirov, Jamila Tahmasib, Bakhtiyar Aliyev and other prominent scientists, numerous employees of the Psychology departments of universities after the 1990s, and young researchers have conducted their own research in the study of the problem of personality. They argue that the developments in personality psychology in the last 20 years can be explained by the stable characteristic qualities of people and that applied psychologists can use this information in ways that lead to significant results for the development of individuals and organizational effectiveness. From the analysis of literature samples, it is clear that among the methodologies aimed at studying personality, there are surveys, measurement samples, tests, various indices. Validity, reliability, and also standardization in the country where the measurement samples will be applied are determined as important criteria. The measured assessment of modern personality psychology can also be useful for many areas and organizational employees. For this purpose, the article contains a comprehensive analysis of this problem.
