Modified Doppler Healthy Pregnancy Monitoring (MODEM-KES) to speed up examinations of pregnant women

Monitoring fetal health is a key factor in ensuring a healthy pregnancy and safe delivery. However, in Indonesia, especially in remote areas, limited access to quality health services, lack of sophisticated medical equipment, and difficulty in reaching health facilities are major challenges. To address this need, this research presents a revolutionary innovation: MODEM-KES (Modified Healthy Pregnancy Monitoring). This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of the tool in improving the quality of antenatal care (ANC) services and expanding the reach of maternal and child health services, even in areas with limited infrastructure. MODEM-KES integrates three important indicators: estimated gestational age, estimated fetal weight, and fetal heart rate. The results of the analysis show that the measurement results are quite close to the standard tool, For Fundus Uteri Height (FUH), the difference in results ranges from 0 cm to 3 cm with an error rate of 0% to 10.75%. In Fetal Heart Rate (FHR), the difference in results ranged from -4/min to 4/min with an error rate of -3.0% to 3.1%. Meanwhile, for Fetal Weight Prediction (FWP), the difference in results ranged from 0 grams to 465 grams with an error rate of 0% to 18.8%. Despite the varying levels of accuracy, the MODEM-KES method still shows potential as a relevant alternative to standard tools.
