POETIKA PEJZAŽNIH ILUSTRACIJA ZA KNJIGU „GALEB DŽONATAN LIVINGSTON“
This paper analyzes the treatment of space in the illustrations of Richard Bach’s Jonathan Livingston Seagull, with special emphasis on the Serbian edition illustrated by Boban Savić (Geto). The research introduces the term “landscape illustration” focusing on how landscape illustrations follow the narrative structure of the novella and its philosophical themes, including the transformation of the main character from the physical to the spiritual. Special attention is given to the analysis of psychological landscape as a carrier of visual narration, as well as the comparative analysis of original drafts and the printed version of illustrations.
