EKOKRITIČKO TUMAČENJE ROMANA „MOJ DEKA JE BIO TREŠNJA“ ANĐELE NANETI
By analyzing the novel My Grandfather Was a Cherry by Angela Nanetti, we interpret the character of a cherry named Felice and the character of the goose Alfonsina with the aim of highlighting ecological themes in the novel that concern the relationship between people (children and adults) and nature and animals, as well as interpersonal relationships that are influenced by the environment in which they take place (village or city). In our work, we start from the views of several literary critics who have dealt with the relationship between literature and ecology, based on which the importance of literature in the field of ecological action is confirmed, while the conclusions we reach by interpreting the given novel are additionally supported by several views of ecocriticism. Our work can serve the careful selection and interpretation of ecological themes as very significant in approaching certain aspects of the Italian author’s novel, since it is included in the reading material for the 6th grade of elementary school.
