EKOKRITIKA I KNJIŽEVNOST ZA DECU
This paper will discuss the theoretical and cultural approach to ecocriticism in children’s literature, its genesis, reflections, and influences on individual works by foreign and domestic writers. It also points out the importance and development of environmental awareness among young readers, as well as the human relationship to the environment and nature, which is reproduced through the written word and addressing children. The analysis and critical reflection of selected literary works sheds light on the ethical, ecological, and cultural discourse in the context of environmental protection, as a special theoretical and anthropological determination in this relatively young interdisciplinary field. As the scope of the topic of the paper is quite broad and complex, the corpus of research will be narrowed and focused primarily on those literary works for children and young people that significantly problematize ecocriticism and inclusively understood ecological self-awareness.
