POETIČKE OSOBENOSTI BAJKE RANKA PAVLOVIĆA U SVJETLU EKOKRITIKE
Ranko Pavlović’s author’s fairy tale reflects the postmodernist treatment of the fairy tale as a cultural model in terms of remodeling traditional fairy tale models, both models present in Serbian literature — both the one dominated by the transposition of oral tradition and the model of the authorial fairy tale parable. The remodeling and modernization of the fairy tale genre applies to both the thematic-motivic and the structural-compositional levels. On the thematic-motivic level, the novel is the current context of contemporary society in the form of ecological and cosmic themes, into which the phenomenon of story and storytelling, which plays the role of a mediator between literature and ecology, is masterfully woven. Being objectified in the form of the Untold Fairy Tale, this phenomenon indicates the action of literature as an ecological force, which, according to Capf’s triadic system, critically extracts the flaws of a society that pollutes nature and kills mankind; to which it then contrasts an imaginative picture of the world embodied in Neven’s sacrifice and kindness, so that through his fulfillment of the task and the establishment of new life on Earth, the reintegrative role of literature is functionally demonstrated. This would finally reconstruct the horizon of expectations in relation to natural, rather than social, factors, and fulfill one of the main goals of cultural ecology, the unity of man and the natural environment.
