Oxidation Stability of Perovskite Solar Cells Reinforced by punicalagin to Resist UV Damage
Abstract With the rapid development of the global photovoltaic industry, regional and environmental differences directly affect the degree of installation of perovskite modules worldwide. Perovskite solar cells (PSCs) that are suitable for deployment in geographical locations with continuous sunlight exposure are those that are persistently exposed to UV irradiation, which means that the PSCs need to have the ability to resist functional degradation caused by UV irradiation. Based on this, the antioxidant plant pomegranate peel extract, punicalagin is utilized, as a booster for PSCs to resist UV irradiation. The highly hydroxylated structure of punicalagin have strong antioxidant capacity, which largely defends against the strong oxidative atmosphere induced by UV irradiation. In addition, the C═O and C═C groups in punicalagin coordinated with undercoordinated Pb 2+ , reducing the probability of defect generation during perovskite nucleation and crystallization, improving film quality and corresponding device performance. Based on the positive effect of punicalagin, the photovoltaic parameter indicators of PSCs improved comprehensively, and the power conversion efficiency increased to 24.24%. Furthermore, the perovskite film modified with punicalagin can resist UV irradiation, exhibit excellent oxidation stability.
