BALANCED SCORECARD: PERFORMANCE OF A PRIVATE COLLEGE IN BAGUIO CITY

This study evaluated the performance of a private college in Baguio City through the lens of the Balanced Scorecard, using its four key perspectives: customer perspective, internal perspective, learning and growth perspective, and financial perspective. By examining performance indicators such as customer satisfaction, employee development, internal improvements, and financial growth, the research highlighted both strengths and areas for improvement within the institution. A descriptive research design using the quantitative method was employed. The respondents of this study were 27 employees from the Administrative Department of the private college in Baguio City. The researcher used a survey questionnaire with closed-ended questions to gather the data needed for this study. The data gathered through the survey questionnaire were analyzed using measures of weighted mean. The findings revealed significant challenges, including high tuition fees compared to public institutions, a lack of employee awareness regarding process improvement initiatives within the department or the institution, and inadequate facilities such as classroom space, laboratories, libraries, and IT infrastructure. This comprehensive analysis not only provided insights into the current state of the college but also laid the groundwork for strategic interventions aimed at enhancing educational quality and operational efficiency.
