A segment location method based on LCSS similarity for active distribution network
Abstract Aiming at the problems that the distributed power supply mainly composed of inverter interface distributed generator (IIDG) is connected to the distribution network in large numbers, the fault characteristics are not obvious, and the harmonic components are complex, which is different from the characteristics of traditional power supply and the failure of traditional section location method, a fault section location method combining variational mode decomposition (VMD) and the longest common subsequence (LCSS) similarity is proposed. First, the transient short-circuits current characteristics of IIDG, and synchronous power supply are analyzed to find that there are differences in their high-frequency components. VMD decomposition is used to obtain the high-frequency components of transient short-circuit current on both sides of each segment. LCSS is used to calculate the similarity to determine whether the high-frequency components on both sides of the segment are similar and locate the fault segment. Different fault points and other conditions can be accurately located, which proves the effectiveness of the proposed method.
