Research on key parameters of new energy for synchronous stability/instability measures based on trajectory dynamics
Abstract With the increasing penetration of renewable energy, such as wind power, its impact on the transient stability of power systems is becoming more significant. This paper analyzes the effects of the grid connection of direct-driven permanent magnet wind turbines on power system transient stability. A transient stability indicator based on trajectory dynamics is proposed, which effectively represents the degree of stability/instability of the grid. This paper also investigates the influence of external loop, inner loop, and voltage traverse control parameters on transient stability. The validity of the proposed indicator is verified by using the IEEE 39-bus system, and the key parameters affecting the transient stability are identified.
