Multiphysics simulation analysis of superconducting hybrid energy pipelines

Abstract This article mainly introduces the structure of a superconducting DC energy pipeline and analyzes its transmission principle. A mathematical model of cold energy loss for a superconducting hybrid energy pipeline is established, and the cold energy loss per unit length of the pipeline is calculated to be 11.43 W/m. An electric magnetic thermal current coupling model is established for a 10 kV/1 kA high-temperature superconducting DC energy pipeline through the COMSOL Multiphysics simulation platform. The temperature distribution, current density distribution, flow velocity distribution, and magnetic field distribution of the pipeline are analyzed. Finally, the finite element model is used to verify the mathematical model of cold energy loss. The comparative results show that the structure of the hybrid energy pipeline meets the design requirements of a 10 kV/1 kA high-temperature superconducting DC energy pipeline.
