Sustainable greenhouse based on minimizing carbon emissions

Abstract Carbon emissions from greenhouse operations pose a challenge to sustainability. Currently, greenhouse research is deficient in reducing carbon emissions. The article devised two operational strategies for comparison. Strategy 1 only ensures that the environment inside the greenhouse meets the growing conditions of the crop. Strategy 2 minimizes carbon emissions based on Strategy 1. The results show that Strategy 2 has 87.2% less carbon emissions. Carbon emissions from greenhouse production are addressed.
