Research on the heat dissipation capability of gas flowing in microchannels at high-speed

Abstract —The high-speed heat dissipation capacity of CO 2 gas in the cold plate is calculated and analyzed. The dimensions of the cold plate are 40 mm × 40 mm, and the convective heat transfer rate between the gas and the microchannel wall is considered. The results show that at an inlet temperature of tin = 14 °C inlet pressure of pin = 1.0 MPa, and the mass flow rate of m 0.6 g / s , the heat transfer rate between CO 2 gas and the cold plate is 1203.5 W. Calculations were performed for different inlet temperatures, inlet pressures, microchannel widths, and wall temperatures. The analysis shows that with a decrease in inlet temperature, the heat transfer rate between the gas and the wall increases, while an increase in inlet pressure and a decrease in wall temperature lead to a reduction in heat transfer rate. When the width of the microchannel increases, the throttling effect within the microchannel diminishes, leading to a reduction in the heat transfer rate between the gas and the wall.
