This research article critically examines the significance, implications, and challenges of this policy shift, highlighting how it aims to democratize education, strengthen cultural roots, and improve pedagogical outcomes. The paper also draws on various theoretical frameworks, empirical studies, and policy documents to explore how a multilingual approach can foster inclusive and equitable learning in India. Recommendations are offered for successful implementation of language-related provisions under NEP 2020.
