The cultural and educational activities undertaken in the Kalisz countryside during the period of the Second Polish Republic were strongly linked to the organization of various theatrical forms. These performances were not only an expression of the spiritual needs of rural residents but also played a significant role as an educational tool. The theater groups operating in the area contributed to shaping the social and political awareness of the peasantry. The primary goal of rural theater in the Kalisz countryside was to activate the rural community within its own environment. Performances frequently enhanced local ceremonies and anniversaries, enabling diverse socio-educational and cultural activities. They promoted the dissemination of culture and education in the Kalisz countryside while fostering social development and positively influencing the formation of young people’s attitudes.
