Paremias about Father in Russian and Chinese Linguacultures

The article deals with proverbs about father (papa) in the paremiological fund of the Russian and Chinese languages. At the end of the 20th – beginning of the 21st centuries. In China, as in Russia, a large number of scientific works on linguoculturology are appearing, which analyze unique axiological values, as well as a complex of universal common to mankind moral axiological dominants. In the Chinese paremiological picture of the world, we correlate the image of the father with the image of the priest in Russian paremiology. We believe that this is explained by the common patriarchal ideas of peoples about the structure of society and the family. The androcentric world of the Russian and Chinese peasantry recorded in proverbs the basic foundations of the «correct» world order. In Chinese and Russian linguistic culture, proverbs largely (not all) reflect the same attitude towards the role of the father and value in the life of society and the individual. The father is responsible for the entire family (both financially and spiritually), but at the same time his will, his decisions become binding on the household, who should not argue with him. The patriarchal male hierarchy is fully reflected in proverbs about the father in Russian and Chinese linguistic cultures.
