Travel Essays by E.N. Kletnova: Genre Features, the Image of the Author, Language

The article examines the genre features of the cycle of travel essays by E.N. Kletnova about Ossetia, which includes the works «Lampada of the mountain gorge», «In the mountains of Ossetia» and «Along ore Ossetia». The author's image is analyzed from the point of view of the projection of the creator's personality and the principle that constructs the text. The problems and ideas of concern to the author, his self-perception and attitude to the «women's issue» are considered. The author's speech expression is studied, in particular the lexical and stylistic features of the essays. The linguistic composition of the Ossetian cycle, based on the interaction of the verbal series of scientific, journalistic and artistic styles, is described as a text-forming concept.
