A literatura de cordel como potencializadora de temas científicos no Ensino de Ciências: um relato de experiência com a temática do aquecimento global

This article aims to report on a workshop conducted with 5th-grade students, focusing on global warming and its connection with the use of cordel literature. The workshop was carried out in four stages: (1) Investigation of the students' prior knowledge; (2) Presentation of the content on climate change; (3) A brief introduction to cordel literature and its characteristics; and (4) Practical activity: creation of cordel verses and woodcut illustrations. Based on the results obtained, we highlight the potential and challenges encountered during the development of this activity. In this context, we reflect on the importance of using cordel literature to address scientific topics, especially in the early years of education.
