Development of an Innovating Antifouling Vibrating System for Marine Sensors
This paper presents the development of an innovating antifouling system based on a vibrating piezoelectric membrane designed to protect immersed sensors from marine biofouling. First, we detailed the conception of the piezoelectric actuator used to actuate the membrane. Demonstrators were built and the characterization results are presented. A housing packaging integrating a fluorometer and the vibrating antifouling system was designed and is presented. In situ tests are currently underway in the bay of Brest to assess the efficiency of our antifouling approach.
