BDSCRP: Blockchain Based Dynamic Secure Cluster Routing Protocol for Mobile Ad hoc Networks (MANETs)
Mobile Ad hoc Networks (MANETs) is an familiar network and widely used in disaster, commercial and domestic applications. Nodes are mobile and communicating in the absence of infrastructure. Due to the autonomous structure, nodes may be influenced by attackers. Attackers may try to dissolve the communication and degrade the network performance. In such scenarios, network lifetime may be reduced due to excessive packet loss, route failure and node unstability. In existing works, the aim was to reduce energy consumption and improve the data authentication rate. But it was failed to balance energy and security. In the proposed work, Blockchain based Dynamic Secure Cluster Routing Protocol (BDSCRP) is implemented to retain maximum energy while preserving maximum security. It contains major three phases. In first phase, Blockchain based Security Architecture is introduced to maintain data authentication and integrity from attackers among mobile nodes. In second phase, Load based Dynamic Cluster Routing is proposed to create cluster zone and nominate reliable cluster members with more energy level. In third phase, reliable energy model is implemented to keep less energy consumption for node transmission. During entire route maintenance process, the nodes are kept with high residual energy and high security. Network Simulator (NS-2.34) tool is used for simulating the proposed and existing schemes with network parameters like node authentication ratio, packet integrity rate, energy consumption rate, processing delay, overhead and packet delivery ratio.
