PENGARUH PENGGUNAAN CHATGPT TERHADAP SELF EFFICACY SISWA

This study aims to determine the effect of ChatGPT usage on students' self-efficacy at SMA Negeri 3 Gorontalo. The background of the study is based on the growing use of artificial intelligence technologies, particularly ChatGPT, in educational activities. The research employed a quantitative approach with a descriptive correlational design. The population consisted of all students at SMA Negeri 3 Gorontalo, with a sample of 100 students selected using purposive sampling, targeting those who had used ChatGPT in their learning process. Data were collected through a Likert-scale questionnaire measuring two variables: ChatGPT usage and self-efficacy. Data analysis was conducted using simple linear regression with the help of SPSS version 21. The results showed that both the level of ChatGPT usage and students’ self-efficacy were classified as very high. The regression analysis revealed a positive and significant influence of ChatGPT usage on students’ self-efficacy, with a significance value of 0.000 (p < 0.05) and a coefficient of determination (R²) of 0.546. This indicates that ChatGPT contributes 54.6% to the increase in students’ self-efficacy.
