Black phosphorene-MXene composite membrane for efficient gas separation

Abstract Black phosphorene shows great potential for hydrogen separation but suffers from oxidative degradation. In this work, black phosphorene nanosheets were combined with MXene to improve stability. The resulting composite membranes exhibit excellent gas separation performance, with H₂ permeability of more than 1,000 GPU and H₂/CO₂ selectivity of over 100. These results highlight their promise for efficient and stable H₂/CO₂ separation.

In this work, black phosphorene nanosheets were combined with MXene to improve stability. The resulting composite membranes exhibit excellent gas separation performance, with H₂ permeability of more than 1,000 GPU and H₂/CO₂ selectivity of over 100.
