A DUAL-BAND BAND-PASS FILTER USING PLASMONIC MIM WAVEGUIDE-BASED RECTANGULAR RING RESONATOR FOR STRESS ESTIMATION WITH FAT COUPLING EFFECT OF BIOSENSOR APPLICATIONS WITH FEM
For a high-sensitivity biosensor application, we suggest a rectangular ring resonator band-pass filter (BPF) based on plasmonic metal-insulator-metal (MIM) waveguides. Designed for terahertz-range performance and nanoscale integration, the small, planar resonator operates in the optical O- to L-band region (1351-1581 nm, 222-188 THz). The COMSOL Multiphysics simulations are used to evaluate the von Mises stress on the rectangular bar surface. Distance measurements are affected by the presence of biomaterial fat content; however, when nonlinearity lowers over time, frequency response estimation improves and nonlinear solver error drops dramatically, from 1.4 × 1015 to 0.
