Satisfaction with Therapy and Therapist Scale-Revised: Adaptation to the Turkish Context
Client satisfaction with their therapist/counselor and the therapy/counseling service they received is a nonspecific factor implying the effectiveness of the therapeutic process. This study aimed to conduct the adaptation of the Satisfaction with Therapy and Therapist Scale-Revised (STTS-R) to Turkish, providing cues and insight into perceptions toward psychotherapy/counseling and therapists/ counselors in Trkiye. The sample of the study includes 262 participants who are currently receiving individual psychotherapy or who completed their psychological help process before the study. The convenience sampling method was used, and an online survey was sent to the participants to collect data. The findings obtained from the validity and reliability analysis support the original structure of the scale consisting of 13 items and two factors. This information confirms the validity and reliability of the Turkish version of the scale. The results have been discussed, and some implications have been drawn for future studies and therapists in Trkiye.
