Central limit theorem for the particle number of classical gases. Local approach

We show for a classical gas in Euclidean space that the fluctuations of its particle number from its mean value have asymptotically for large volumes a normal distribution. This holds true for a large class of stable pair interactions, if the activity z is small enough.
