INFRASTRUCTURE ELEMENTS OF THE FUEL AND ENERGY COMPLEX AND ALTERNATIVE ENERGY
The article considers the fuel and energy complex as a separate market and analyzes its infrastructure elements in the context of resource extraction, processing, storage, transportation, distribution and consumption. The author analyzes the interconnection of the fuel and energy complex and alternative energy within the energy system, which should ensure a balance between the reliability of energy supply, economic efficiency and environmental safety. The main aspects of this interconnection include supplementing traditional energy sources with solar, wind, bioenergy and hydrogen energy, which helps to reduce dependence on fossil fuels (coal, oil, gas) and mitigates risks associated with fluctuations in energy prices and the depletion of natural resources. The fuel and energy sector is gradually adapting to new realities by integrating alternative energy sources into the existing infrastructure. For example, gas-fired power plants can complement wind or solar power plants, ensuring the stability of energy supply. The traditional fuel and energy complex is the main source of greenhouse gas emissions, while alternative energy helps to reduce this impact. The development of alternative energy is an important step in the fight against climate change and environmental pollution. Investments in alternative energy create new jobs and stimulate the development of technologies, while reducing the cost of fossil fuel imports. At the same time, the fuel and energy complex can also act as an investor in alternative energy projects. The traditional fuel and energy sector contributes to the development of infrastructure for alternative energy, such as distribution networks, energy storage systems, etc. At the same time, new technologies, such as green hydrogen technologies, are being integrated into both sectors. It is proved that their interconnection is an important step towards a sustainable energy future, but the analysis confirms the need for a comprehensive approach to the development of Ukraine’s fuel and energy complex with a focus on the integration of alternative energy sources. All of this will contribute to enhancing energy security, economic growth, and improving the environmental situation in the country.
