Preparation of environmentally friendly asymmetric di-quaternary ammonium salt surfactant and its corrosion resistance on Al-Cu-Mg alloy in acidic solution

An environmentally friendly asymmetric di-quaternary surface activator was prepared by 1,3-propanediamine,dodecyldimethylamine, and cetyldimethylamine, and its electrochemical performance was studied on the surface of corrosion-inhibited Al-Cu-Mg alloy in acidic solution with a concentration of 1 mol/L. The corrosion properties of the final product in 2.0 × 10 −3 mol/L of Al-Cu-Mg alloy in hydrochloric acid solution were studied by the static coupon weight-loss method and electrochemical method. The experimental results indicate the inhibition efficiency increases as the concentration of the final product increases. The inhibition efficiency is 96% when the concentration is 2.0 × 10 −3 mol/L, and It was determined that the corrosion inhibition ability and the mechanism of the final product on the aluminum alloy in hydrochloric acid solution occurred after silylation treatment on the aluminum alloy surface.

Abstract

An environmentally friendly asymmetric di-quaternary surface activator was prepared by 1,3-propanediamine,dodecyldimethylamine, and cetyldimethylamine, and its electrochemical performance was studied on the surface of corrosion-inhibited Al-Cu-Mg alloy in acidic solution with a concentration of 1 mol/L.
