THE FALSIFICATION OF REALITY: DEEPFAKES IN THE INFORMATION SECURITY PARADIGM

Abstract: The article discusses the problems associated with the spread of deepfakes as a form of digital falsification, which creates new threats to information security. The high level of credibility of such materials makes them difficult to detect and contributes to disinformation, which negatively affects the stability of the information space. In particular, special attention is paid to the impact of deepfakes on the political, financial and social spheres. In this article the existing deepfake detection technologies are studied and the importance of increasing media literacy of society is emphasized.
