Features of the application of active learning technology in foreign language training for adults in a corporate environment

The research aims to identify and scientifically substantiate the features of applying active learning technology in foreign language training for adults in a corporate environment, aimed at increasing motivation, learner engagement, and the formation of professionally oriented foreign language competencies adapted to the specific requirements and conditions of professional activity. The article is devoted to the theoretical understanding and practical justification of the application of active learning technology in corporate foreign language training for adults. The author develops a methodology that integrates the principles of andragogy, professional orientation, a needs-based approach, and digital transformation, with an emphasis on project-based, role-playing, problem-based learning, and case studies. Methodological solutions are presented that ensure improved learning effectiveness and the development of foreign language competence in a business context. The scientific novelty lies in the conceptualization of active learning not only as a set of methods but also as an independent pedagogical technology that integrates the principles of andragogy, professional orientation, a needs-based approach, and digital transformation of the educational environment. The proposed organization of learning is oriented towards the diagnosis and satisfaction of learners’ specific needs, a combination of invariant and variable content components, a targeted selection of forms, methods, and means of instruction, and the continuous adaptation of educational programs based on feedback analysis. As a result of the research, active learning methods relevant to the tasks of foreign language training in a corporate environment (project activities, business and role-playing games, case studies, discussions) are systematized, and the pedagogical conditions for their effective application, taking into account the motivational, cognitive, and professional characteristics of adults, are substantiated. The use of active learning technology, oriented towards the personal significance and professional orientation of assimilation, allows to strengthen learner engagement, overcome barriers to perception, and increase the effectiveness of foreign language training in a professional context.
