AI-Powered Sound Energy Harvesting System

In this article discusses about the new sound wave energy harvester based on piezoelectric materials for sustainable low-voltage applications. Urban and industrial noise, although it is a renewable energy source, poses challenges in efficient harvesting due to variable sound frequencies and intensities. The proposed system is designed to overcome these challenges by selectively converting ambient noise into electrical power. The harvester possesses an on/off AI-driven control, which is based on machine learning algorithms to provide optimal sound conditions and can only activate the device in these conditions. Tests of 35–100 dB and 60–500 Hz ranges demonstrated peak output at 69 Hz with 3.2 V, 3.2 mA, and 10.24 mW. This type of adaptive control increases efficiency, saves energy, and extends the lifetime of a device since it works under set conditions. This project offers a promising, eco-friendly solution to low-power applications by selectively capturing sound energy in noise-rich environments, contributing to innovative AI optimization for sustainable energy technologies.
