Design and Evaluation of a 10 GHz Microstrip Patch Antenna with Coaxial Probe Feed for 50 Ω Characteristic Impedance
This paper presents the development of a 10 GHz microstrip patch antenna having a characteristic impedance of 50 Ω and coaxial probe feed. The proposed antenna boasts a physical dimension of 10 ×9 ×0.32 mm3and excellent efficiency and compactness. The key performance parameters include the gain, VSWR and return loss. The 462 MHz bandwidth of the antenna establishes its suitability for high-frequency applications. The impedance between the feed line is extremely well matched by this design, with an impedance of 50.56 Ω The axial ratio of 3.359 also manifests moderate circular polarisation abilities. Such findings prove the coaxial probe-fed design's effectiveness, and it is on the forefront for use in the radar and wireless communication system.
