Amplification‐Free, Sequencing‐Free, Detection of Viral RNAs with Variant Specification by Discrete Nanocounting (Adv. Funct. Mater. 21/2025)
NanoPick Array In article number 2310157, Kelvin Kai-Wang To, Peng Shi, and co-workers develop a biochip with vertically aligned nanostructures, NanoPick-array, for rapid analysis of viral RNAs. The platform combines selective short-cut of viral RNAs, cherry-picking isolation of target genes, and micro-arrayed discrete nanoimaging to enable the detection of COVID-19 RNAs without the need for amplification and sequencing, providing the capability to differentiate single-nucleotide genetic mutation among different viral variants.
