KONSTRUKCIJA PROSTORA U ROMANU „GUGUTO MEMETO“ STEFANA TIĆMIJA
The paper deals with various aspects of the construction of space in the latest novel Guguto Memeto by Stefan Tićmi. This short novel resists any genre definition. The author’s reference to elements of fairy tales and fantasy gives attention to the space in which the plot of the story unfolds. The space is set in multiple ways — it is a macrospace that is further divided into a space that contains certain oppositions, corresponding to and building on different literary traditions. The characterization of the characters is also permeated by space, and the determinants of space meaningfully accompany the metamorphoses of the heroes. The ubiquitous interpenetration of time and space creates the chronotope of this novel. Stefan Mitić Tićmi’s latest literary work, Guguto Memeto, according to the concept of the spatial dimension of the novel, corresponds to and builds on representations of the world in works of the literary tradition for children and young people. These connections are already visible when looking at the elementary school teaching programs
