Development Of Video Tutorial-Based Learning Materials In The Turning Technique Subject At SMKN 1 Padang
The implementation of teaching in the lathe machining technique subject at SMKN 1 Padang still uses conventional methods, so the use of learning media has not been fully utilized, making the lessons boring for students and decreasing their motivation to learn, leading to passive behavior during the learning process. The purpose of this research is to examine the practicality and effectiveness of the developed video tutorial-based learning media. The type of research used is R&D (Research and Development) with IDI models with the subjects of this development research being the 11th-grade students at SMKN 1 Padang.Meanwhile, the object of this research is the product in the form of learning media based on video tutorials in the subject of Lathe Machining Engineering. The result of this development research is a video tutorial-based learning media. The results of the validity test by material and media experts obtained scores of 0,92 and 0.865, which can be said to indicate that the learning media created is valid. And the results of the student assessment questionnaire analysis obtained a score of 91,7%, which can be stated that the developed learning media is in the very good category. And the results of the learning effectiveness show an increase in student scores between the pretest and posttest with a score comparison of 16,7% and 83,3% which can be said that the learning media created is effective and suitable for use in teaching. Thus, it can be concluded that video tutorial-based learning media is effective and suitable for use in the learning process at school for the subject of lathe machining.
