STATUS OF THE STUDY OF THE PROBLEM FORMATION OF THE BONE COMPARTMENT OF THE BACK OF THE NOSE IN AESTHETIC RHINOPLASTY
Abstract. Introduction. People’s desire to be attractive is considered one of the main reasons for the prevalence of nose surgery. Over the past decade, nasal reconstruction has reached a high level of excellence and significant aesthetic results. Rhinoplasty is one of the most difficult sections of plastic surgery, primarily because the nose is the most open and a noticeable part of the face, the smallest flaws of which are obvious. The article presents the state of the investigated problem, historical aspects, modern views on surgical operations, reviewed research on this problem. The aim is to study research and scientific developments regarding the problem of the formation of the bony part of the dorsum of the nose during aesthetic rhinoplasty. Materials and methods. Theoretical research methods were used, namely: analysis, synthesis, comparison, generalization, systematization of domestic and foreign scientific literature on the problem of studying the formation of the bony part of the dorsum of the nose during aesthetic rhinoplasty. Results of the study prove that aesthetic rhinoplasty is one of the most difficult sections of plastic surgery, primarily because the nose is the most open and visible part of the face, the smallest flaws of which are obvious. Researchers prove that during primary rhinoplasty, the bridge of the nose is often subjected to excessive resection, which requires a secondary rhinoplasty. In secondary rhinoplasty, the deformation of the lower third of the nose is most common, namely: “polly beak” deformation occurs in 34.0%; deformation of the tip of the nose – in 30.3%; excessive sinking of the back of the nose – in 28.3% of patients. Different approaches to solving the problem are analyzed. Conclusions. The study of the problem of the formation of the bony part of the back of the nose during aesthetic rhinoplasty and the analysis of literary sources allows us to state that this operation is one of the most difficult in plastic aesthetic surgery. A surgeon must have the necessary professional skills not only in matters of surgery and psychology, but also be guided by the fact that the shape and function of the nose are inseparable. The structure of the nose is complex and contains both bony and cartilaginous components, any change in shape can affect both the aesthetics and functionality of the nose.
