Influence of integrated nutrient management on yield of field pea (Pisum sativum L.)

To study the Influence of integrated nutrient management on yield of field pea (Pisum Sativum L.), an experiment was conducted at the Research farm of the Department of Agronomy, School of Agriculture Science, Technology & Research, Sardar Patel University, Balaghat (M.P.) during Rabi season of 2023-24. The experiment consisted of a randomized block design with three replications. In this experiment, twelve treatment combinations including Integrated nutrient management. During the study, it was found that Integrated nutrient management affected plant height, number of branches per plant, number of pods per plant, length of pod, number of grains per pod, seed index, grain &straw yield and protein content of field pea. Highest plant height of field pea, measuring 30.11, 47.11, and 55.13 cm at growth stages of 30, 60, and 90 DAS, respectively and number of branches per plant of field pea, with respective values of 5.00, 6.67, and 7.53 at growth stages of 30, 60, and 90 DAS were recorded in plots treated with 100% RDF + Rhizobium + PSB + KSB (T12). Similarly, resulted in applying 100% RDF + Rhizobium + PSB + KSB resulted in a significantly better grain yield (12.56 q/ha), maximum gross and maximum net returns (₹ 101042.00 and ₹ 77547.00 Rs/ha), and the greatest B:C ratio of 3.30:1, according to the results of this experiment.
