B(C6F5)3-catalysed cyclic carbonate editing

An unprecedented B(C 6 F 5 ) 3 -catalyzed cyclic carbonate editing approach is reported. DFT calculations detailed the reaction pathways and the origin of excellent stereoselectivity.
