Extreme high-temperature impact on distribution network operation characteristics

This study uses the IEEE 33-node system as its research subject to analyze the comprehensive impact of temperature variations on the voltage distribution, line losses, and reliability of distribution networks. The findings reveal that an increase in temperature leads to a decrease in node voltage and an increase in line losses, with this trend becoming more pronounced under high-temperature conditions. Moreover, the load temperature coefficient has a significantly greater impact on system performance compared to the resistance temperature coefficient, indicating that load characteristics are the key factors influenced by temperature changes. Through sensitivity analysis and comparisons of simulation results, the study validates the critical role of temperature in determining the operational state of distribution networks. This research provides theoretical support and technical guidance for optimizing the operation of distribution networks under different temperature conditions, while also highlighting the key influence of temperature-sensitive parameters on network performance.
