Bio-amplified fiber microlaser for ultrasensitive and disposable immunosensing

Based on telecom optical fiber, we report a bio-amplified microlaser for ultrasensitive and disposable immunosensing. A fourorder- of-magnitude-enhancement in sensitivity has been demonstrated for avidin detection. Then, the biolaser is applied for cancer biomarker (PD-L1) detection, achieving a limit of detection of 3.2 pg/mL.

Abstract

Based on telecom optical fiber, we report a bio-amplified microlaser for ultrasensitive and disposable immunosensing. A fourorder- of-magnitude-enhancement in sensitivity has been demonstrated for avidin detection. Then, the biolaser is applied for cancer biomarker (PD-L1) detection, achieving a limit of detection of 3.2 pg/mL.
