Two-dimensional acoustic source localization algorithm based on physics-informed neural network in distributed acoustic sensing

An acoustic source localization algorithm based on physics-informed neural network for distributed acoustic sensing is proposed for the first time, and achieves an average localization error of 6.4 cm within a 5 × 5 m area. Compared with conventional data-driven neural networks, our method demonstrates superior generalization and robustness in intense noise environment.

Abstract

An acoustic source localization algorithm based on physics-informed neural network for distributed acoustic sensing is proposed for the first time, and achieves an average localization error of 6.4 cm within a 5 × 5 m area. Compared with conventional data-driven neural networks, our method demonstrates superior generalization and robustness in intense noise environment.
