Uncovering the literary landscape: Exploring the impact of artificial intelligence on Indonesian literature
Artificial intelligence (AI) in Indonesian literature marks a fundamental change in the creative process, the distribution of works, and the pattern of reader interaction. This study analyses the impact of AI integration on these three aspects, focusing on its role in redefining the Indonesian literary landscape. A theoretical approach is used to explore the evolution of literature in the digital age, supported by a methodology that includes in-depth literature reviews and online surveys of authors, publishers, and readers. The findings suggest that AI increases narrative variety and complexity and facilitates a more inclusive distribution and personalisation of the reading experience. These results underscore the urgency of understanding the implications of AI for the future of Indonesian literature, both in terms of creativity and cultural dynamics. This study recommends further analysis of AI’s social and cultural impact in literature to support future sustainability and diversification.
