On-Farm Research-Projekt: KuhproKlima – Innovative Strategien für eine ressourcenschonende und resiliente Grünlandbewirtschaftung

On-Farm-Research-Projekt: KuhproKlima – innovative strategies for resource-conserving and resilient grassland management // In the KuhProKlima project seven participating farms tested different approaches to site-appropriate, climate-friendly and resilient grassland management. All measures were implemented individually and adapted to the location. The focus was on a specific form of grazing (holistic planned grazing according to Allan Savory). In addition, the local ecosystem processes as well as the volume of work and economic efficiency were to be optimized and accompanied by monitoring was used to check the changes and progress over the course of the project. On-farm research projects like this make a major contribution to the potential of agriculture in the future. Practice and research meet at eye level and develop solutions together. In addition, scientific studies were carried out on standardized test areas. All of the experiences and results of the 7 participating farms have been incorporated into a comprehensive best practice guide and are available at https://www.kuhproklima.de.
