Multi-Layered Indoor Spatial Coordinate Definition Method and Compact Detection Module Using Fifth-Generation Mobile Communication System and Sensors
In this study, we propose a method for defining and detecting spatial coordinates by combining ultra-wide band (UWB) distance measurements, simulating a fixed station of the fifth generation mobile communication system (5G), structural map data, and geomagnetic, acceleration, and air pressure sensor data. We used a small detection module to demonstrate that the detection method was effective not only in single-story but also multi-story indoor environments. The results show that spatial coordinates can be obtained indoors using a 5G-compatible terminal equipped with these sensors.
