Characterization of Chitin or Chitosan/PCL Nanofibers Prepared by Electrospinning
In this study, chitin and chitosan were respectively added to PCL and mixed to prepare an electrospinning precursor solution. Electrospinning[1] was employed to create chitin/PCL and chitosan/PCL nanofibers. Finally, scanning electron microscopy (SEM), thermogravimetric analysis (TGA), and contact angle measurements were used to analyze the structural and physical properties of these materials and their nanofibers. Due to its excellent biocompatibility and biodegradability, PCL shows great potential for future applications in biomedical sensor encapsulation.
